Letter from the Principal

Dear Future Titans:

Northview High School offers a diverse program of study to provide every student with an opportunity for success. Last year, for the sixth year running, our school was rated as one of the Top 1,000 High Schools in America by Newsweek Magazine and has been named as a Best School by Atlanta Magazine since 2005. Our students earned the State AAAAA Governor's Cup for 2004 and 2005, received the Governor's Office of Student Achievement Silver Award for 2005, 2007, the Gold Award for 2006, 2008 and the Platinum Award for 2009. I invite each of you to take advantage of the many opportunities that are available at our school.

Our counselors and administrators are here to help you plan an academic program that will provide the skills and knowledge needed for success after high school. Academic excellence is our primary goal and must be your focus as well. Northview offers many areas of study including visual and performing arts, 30 different Advanced Placement and college-level subjects, TAG, 5 different World Languages, Career-Technology, Special Education, internships, and a broad range of electives to provide every student an opportunity for success.
Our academic, social, service, and performing organizations coupled with a full sports program truly offer something for everyone. More importantly, I have found that students who get involved in school activities realize greater academic success than those who are not involved. There is a place for everyone at Northview and I encourage everyone to take full advantage of the many extra-curricular activities that are available for our students.

Together, we will continue to establish traditions that will forever influence our school as well as prepare you for a wonderful future. If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

Paul Brannon
