Greetings Fellow Titans –

January 15th-20th 2012 will mark the 6th year Northview has participated in Close Up Washington D.C. Enrollment is open to any student 9th Ė 12th grade currently at Northview. We want as many students to experience this unique program with experiences and new friends that will last a lifetime. The trip is an excused absence and is the week of the Martin Luther King holiday.

This yearís program includes:

-6 days and 5 nights in Washington DC, tentative hotel is the Key Bridge Marriott near Georgetown University.
-Visits to: Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, the Whitehouse, the Supreme Court etc.
-Museums, the Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian, the Newseum, International Spy Museum, the National Achieves and Fordís Theater among other sites.
-Capital Hill day where students will meet with Georgia members of Congress and tour of one the most well known buildings in the world.
Students participate in a mock congress where they work and debate with kids from across the country.
-A day with your teachers to visit the sights and student chosen activities.

Important Information:

-Tuition: Total with transportation approximately $1400, which includes airfare, hotel, food and all entry fees.
-Close-Up arranges all travel, hotels and tours.
-E-Registration and Payment: It's quick and easy.

-The trip is an excused absence and is the week of the Martin Luther King holiday.

Fundraising Opportunities:

Letters will be available for students to send to businesses and individuals to help sponsor you in paying for part of your entire trip. We will also have several fundraising opportunities throughout first semester 2011 including sponsoring an monthly car show/gathering and selling Chick Fil A biscuits Friday mornings.
