Fellow Titans –
I hope everyone had a chance to rest over the Labor Day weekend. We are entering the “meat” of the semester and these e-newsletters will contain more and more pertinent information, particularly as to upcoming events. Please take the time to read about the scheduled Drive Smart, changes to the parking application, and opportunities for students to participate in special trips like Close Up.
Parent Connect is up and running. If you have not yet registered for this service, please log on to www.northviewhigh.com and follow the link to the registration site. Through Parent Connect, you will be able to monitor discipline, attendance, and the academics of your student.
Daily announcements are also posted on our website, offering a timely resource for sports, clubs, activities, and the many accomplishments of our Titans.
Our first home football game will be played on September 18th, immediately followed by Homecoming Week. Student Council has great activities planned for the whole week and I hope that you will all come to watch our students participate in the traditional Glendi skits before the game on the 25th. The Homecoming Dance will be held on September 26th in our Food Court. This has become a highly anticipated Northview tradition, where students attend as couples but more so as groups of friends. We encourage everyone to attend!
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at spalla@fultonschools.org.

To continue free or reduced price meal benefits for students each household must complete a new application each year.  Free and Reduced Meal Benefits will end on September 21, 2009, if the household has not reapplied for SY 2009-2010. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until the Free and Reduced Application is approved. To help assure continuation of benefits, the household must have a new application turned in to the school cafeteria manager before September 16, 2009.  Be sure to list all the students in the household on the application.  Keep in mind, the application may take up to 10-days to process. We shall keep this day,
We shall keep the events and the tears
In our minds, our memory and our hearts
and take them with us as we carry on."
