Greetings Fellow Titans –
We have had another wonderful start to the school year and I hope your students have shared their stories about new classes, new teachers, and old friends. As with any new process, there have been a few bumps but I expect that things will be smoothed out in no time and the days will start flying by!
As happens every year, student schedules will be adjusted over the next 10 days to balance the classes. Realize that students may get new schedules during this time, but it is all with the intent of ensuring that all of our classes are in compliance with state standards.
I trust that you have had a chance to meet our new administrators:
Brian Downey is the Assistant Principal for the 10th grade. He comes to us from Massachusetts where he served as Dean of Students for 7 years.
Tiffany Butera is our new Curriculum Assistant Principal (CAP) and will be working with the 9th grade. She is a veteran of Fulton County, having spent the last 13 years at Centennial High School, 6 of which she was also their CAP.
What would the fall be without football? Northview has reorganized under the leadership of new head coach Chad Davenport. If our lopsided victory over Johns Creek in last week’s scrimmage is any indication of a new Titan tradition, then you better get your tickets now! The first game is tonight at Meadowcreek High School. We expect to take the home field with a 1-0 record on September 3rd against Duluth. Be there to help us cheer the team on to victory!
Please remember, your Affidavit of Residency is due today. All new students and returning students in grades 9-11 are required to complete this process each year. If you need another copy of the Affidavit, they are available in the Front Office.
As always, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Ever Upward and Onward!
