Greetings Fellow Titans –
What a wonderful return from Spring Break! The week has been full of academics, arts, and athletic activities and graduation seems to be just around the corner! Please make sure to check daily announcements at to keep abreast of all scheduled events.
Tomorrow, April 17th, is our second Hands On Northview and we encourage everyone to come and help clean the campus. We will be moving plants from around some of the portables that will be removed this summer, so we need you to bring shovels, picks, and rakes to make this process possible.
Tuesday, April 20th is VIP Night. Many of our students will receive special recognition that evening and it is always a favorite event for those involved. If your child receives an invitation, please make a point to attend. Activities will begin at 7 p.m. in the main gym.
Tuesday, April 27th is Honors Night. Students being recognized for academic accomplishments will be invited to this Northview tradition. Again, please don’t miss out on this very special evening.
End of Course testing will take place during the week of April 26th. It is important that all students are present, on-time, and ready for these important exams that count 15% of the student’s final grade. Our schedule has been adjusted to accommodate the required 2-hour testing block, so please be mindful of this when scheduling necessary doctors’ appointments or other activities that pull your child out of school. Tests will be administered from 8:30 – 11:00 am and 1:10 – 3:40 pm Monday through Thursday.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you might have.

Ever Upward and Onward!

Looking for Energetic President or Co-Presidents to Complete PTSA Board
The PTSA Nominating Committee is looking for a President or Co-Presidents for the 2010-2011 school year.  If you are a PTSA member this is a wonderful position to gain experience in leadership and serve Northview. The PTSA President develops close relationships with the administration, manages parent volunteers, guides partnership development within the school community, and promotes an environment where parent involvement is encouraged and respected.  Duties include Board meeting facilitation, program management, operational and strategic planning, and student advocacy.  Two co-Presidents would combine multiple talents and perspectives potentially strengthening the position.  The Board is comprised of hard working volunteers who will join the President to ensure Northview’s PTSA goals are successful during the coming school year. Please consider this rewarding position on the Board and contact the Nominating Committee or Ms. Spalla as soon as possible.
