College & Career
Center
The Northview College & Career Center, located in the Counseling Office,
provides excellent resources to assist students in making decisions concerning
post-secondary study. Scholarship applications, college handbooks, financial
aid information, and summer program opportunities are examples of information
that are available in the center.
The College & Career Center, coordinated by former college admissions
officer Gayle Polizzi, is staffed with volunteers who have been trained
to assist students and parents. The center is open every day during lunch
and on selected days before and after school.
Support for New
Students
Being a new student can be both an exciting and difficult experience. Monthly
breakfasts for newly enrolled students are held to provide an opportunity to
become better acclimated to Northview, as well as express questions and concerns.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing Newcomer’s
Group activities. In addition, counselors and administrators are always available
to assist new students to ensure a positive transition.
