Mission Statement: to instill excellence in academics, arts, and athletics.
Motto: Ever Upward and Onward!

Northview High School opened in the Fall of 2002 to serve students residing in northeast Fulton County. A rigorous, well-rounded academic program that includes extensive fine arts and technology course offerings prepares a diverse student population for further study after graduation.

Extracurricular Programs: Over eighty clubs, service organizations, and performing ensembles coupled with a full athletic program support the Titans' mission to instill excellence in academics, arts, and athletics.

Credits/Schedule: Northview follows a traditional semester schedule. Classes meet for fifty-six minutes daily. School hours are 8:30 am – 3:40 pm. Each student is assigned to six classes, a lunch period and a weekly homeroom. Students must carry a full schedule of classes, which can include joint enrollment and internship experiences. The school year consists of two eighteen-week semesters with 0.5 unit of credit awarded, per course, at the end of each semester. Students must pass five courses during the preceding semester and be on-track for graduation in order to be eligible for interscholastic competition. Transfer students must be ruled eligible by GHSA before participating at the varsity level.

The diverse student population of Northview consistently meets and exceeds the high expectations of a faculty that is among the finest in the nation. Supported by active parent volunteers and a community that values education, Northview High School has established programs and traditions that will benefit the students of Northeast Fulton for many years.

The Latest Classroom Technology . . .

Over 700 PC's and faculty notebooks, classroom sets of laptops, digital copiers, and a broadcast studio provide the most recent technology available. Extensive use of wireless systems can be found throughout the building. Parents may access student grades, attendance, and discipline via the Internet through ParentConnect . Northview's website, www.northviewhigh.com , provides daily announcements, calendar, school information, academic resources, and email access between community and staff.

State of the Art Facilities . . .

The main building, totaling 270,800 permanent square feet, provides sixty standard classrooms, thirty-six laboratories, a Counseling Center, nine departmental workrooms, specialized fine arts and technology instructional areas, and physical education facilities. A village of thirty-four portable classrooms comfortably aids in accommodating a growing student population. Indoor facilities feature an auditorium, two gymnasiums, weight training, sports medicine, and fitness rooms, food court, media center, and commons/courtyard area. Since 2004, a community initiated capitol improvements program has provided a Junior Titans field house, indoor baseball/softball batting facilities, a multi-media stadium scoreboard, and a multi-purpose athletic building. The seventy-three acre campus includes an outdoor classroom, stocked lake, synthetic turf stadium, tennis courts, and irrigated baseball, softball, and practice fields.

Services for Exceptional Children . . .

Students with mild-moderate learning disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and other mental impairments may be served through this program. Services include team-taught classes, self-contained instruction, and monitoring services.

Talented and Gifted Program . . .

TAG is a multi-criterion based gifted enrichment program designed to offer students access to specialty seminars, subject-area extensions, independent study, and off-campus study. An internship component provides hands-on experience and insight into a variety of career options. Participants explore areas of interest that are particular to them as individuals that are not part of the regular classroom curriculum and have an opportunity to learn in ways that are unique to each student.
