TRACK & FIELD
There will be a meeting on November 3rd directly after school in the Media Center for anyone interested in participating in track and field in the spring. If you are currently participating in another sport but hope to join Track & Field, please stop by and sign up so we can get an idea of how many people are coming to try outs.

DEBATE
The Northview Debate Team would like to wish Ms. Ulrich a happy birthday!  We hope everyone brings you candy and balloons this Wednesday because you deserve it!  You’re the best coach ever and we love you.

FANDANA
Got your Northview fandana yet? Be one of the first 500 persons to bring at least 4 undamaged canned goods to the Northview stadium for the homecoming game this Friday against Alpharetta and get your very own Fandana!  The Northview Atlanta food bank club is hosting this one-of-a kind food drive to benefit the Atlanta community food bank.  Do your part and you can receive a free and unique Northview spirit wear item. 

ASTRA
ASTRA Club and AFBC are holding a food and clothing drive this week for the Atlanta Food Bank and Community Assistance Center.  Bring any new or slightly used clothing item to any of the donation boxes around the school or drop them off at Ms. Peek’s room, room 435.  Bring more than two clothes on the homecoming game on Friday and receive a free bag of candy.

ROBOTICS
The NHS Robotics Team, the Techno Titans, participated in the Georgia BEST Competition this weekend.  They placed first overall, won the prestigious “BEST” award, and took away two more awards for the Best Engineering Design Process and Most Robust Robot.  The robotics team will advance to regional championships.  Congratulations on a job well done!

HOMECOMING TICKETS
Homecoming tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches this week. If your date is from a different school, they must fill out a permission form which will be given to you when you purchase your tickets.

VIDEO YEARBOOK
The Northview BVP department will be selling video yearbooks, a collection of videos from the many events that will be hosted this year.  Make sure you order one soon, they are now on sale for $10.  Stop by the BVP room #782 to order one! 

DID YOU ORDER A MUISC PERFORMANCE VIDEO? 
Attention all music students:  if you have ordered a performance DVD from any of your concerts this year, please stop by the BVP room ASAP!!  We have a check with a missing order form; we cannot give you your DVD unless we know who you are. Thanks.

BOOK FAIR @ BARNES & NOBLE
On Friday November 14th the Northview Book Fair will be held at Barnes & Noble at the Forum shopping mall. Stop by anytime between 6pm -10pm and get all the books you need for your la classes this year.

GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
The girls’ basketball team will have tryouts today.  All students planning on trying out must have a completed physical form.  All 9th graders and new players to Northview will start at 4 p.m. in the main gym. All returning players and all new seniors will tryout at 5:30 p.m. Please stop by and see Coach Yarbrough in room # 509 if you have any questions.

HOMECOMING THEME TODAY
Today's homecoming theme is the walking dead, so hopefully you all dressed in your pajamas! Tomorrow is geek-or treat, so dress up like a nerd!
