NO PLACE FOR HATE
The counseling department is launching the No Place For Hate program this school year.  This initiative is designed to rally the entire student body and faculty around the goal of creating a welcoming community committed to stopping all forms of bias and bullying.  The No Place for Hate program will encourage a culture of respect and help create a safe & bully-free learning environment for students in all grade levels.  Stay tuned for event announcements throughout the 2014-15 school year.  The first event will take place this week!

KOREAN CULTURE CLUB
Korean Culture Club will have a meeting today after school in room 542.  Make sure you come!

MENS LACROSSE
Men’s lacrosse will have a player/parent meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium.  Both parents and players who are interested in the program should attend this meeting. 

ACT and/or SAT?
If you are interested in taking the practice SAT / ACT, stop by the Kaplan table at lunch or talk to any Northview cheerleader for more details.  The test will be administered by Kaplan Test Prep on Saturday, September 27th from 9am to 1pm at Northview.  Advanced registration is required. There are two ways to register: 1) Online registration at http://www.cheernhs.com/  or 2) Register at the Kaplan table at lunch Tuesday through Thursday until September 19th.  The cost is $10 through September 12th, after that the cost goes up to $20.  Reserve your space now, seats are limited!

RACE TO NOWHERE
Race to Nowhere is coming to Northview!  Our PTSA is encouraging our community to come out and see this film as we begin our school year.  This year’s PTSA theme is “Find Your Balance.”   All ticket sale proceeds will go to the Will-to-Live Foundation.   Two showings will be held: the first on Wednesday, September 10th at 7pm, the second on Saturday, September 12th at 7pm.  Tickets will be sold online for $5 or at the door for $10.
