Mission of the Martial Arts club: to train, and promote members in a variety of self defense arts. This is accomplished at a minimal student cost. The Chief Instructor (a Marine Hand-to-Hand combat instructor and survivor) teaches for free, but students must join international organizations to be promoted and receive internationally recognized certification to instruct. Traditional Okinawan Shorin Ryu ( Shaolin Way) Kenpo Karate, Korean Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and Jui-jitsu are taught by instructor trained in the orient. Hand-to-hand, un-armed and armed defense is stressed. Students who desire and who are approved by the instructor (with special waiver) may compete in tournaments.
Experienced and novice students of the martial arts are welcome!
