Future Problem Solving Program is an international academic competition that helps students develop their thinking and creative skills. There are various parts of the competition: Team Problem Solving, Community Problem Solving, and Scenario Writing. Team problem solving is a two hour competition where a team of four is given a future scenario regarding a particular topic and students identify problems, create solutions, and make a final action plan. Community problem solving is where students identify a problem in the community and create an action plan and follow the action plan through by providing their service to the community. Scenario writing is a competition where a student chooses to write about a possible problem in the future through the use of current research and events.
