Future Educators of America is a national organization for students preparing for careers in education. There are approximately 1000 chapters in the U.S. and Europe. FEA is affiliated with the internationally recognized educator honor society, Phi Delta Kappa. FEA prepares students for real world professional experiences. Members gain the competitive edge for college and career successes as well as gain a realistic understanding of the nature of education and the role of the teacher. Members have the opportunity to compete for awards and recognition on the local, state, and national levels at annual conferences. FEA promotes teacher-student relations by sponsoring teacher appreciation opportunities for students.
Requirements for membership: None – Community Service Required
Dues: $20
Meetings - Attendence required: No more than 2 unexcused absences per semester
Meeting will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month (will be reminders)
Officers and Responsibility:
President: ALesia Mickle
Vice-President: The vice president will preside over the meeting in the event of absence of the president and help the president with the logistics of fundraisers and special events
Secretary: The secretary will keep attendance records and logs of meetings
Treasurer: The treasurer will keep track of membership dues and fundraising money; also will look after any additional dues pertaining to special events
Web Technician: The web technician will be in charge of keeping up the Northview Future Educators of America Club website. Some technical proficiency is required
