| The Northview Social Studies Department's mission statement is: "Relevance, Rigor, and Respect in the Classroom."
Our faculty is organized into Professional Learning Communities based on subject areas and works diligently to provide each student
with meaningful educational experiences. Of the 32 Advanced Placement courses taught at Northview, our department offers 25% of those AP courses.
In addition, the Model United Nations course competes not only on the state but also on the international level. Our participation in the Close-Up Foundation has enabled students to have the Washington, D.C. experience first hand. In regard to the Fulton County March, a coveted multi-million dollar Federal Grant opportunity, Northview High School has more U.S. History teachers as participants than any other Fulton County school.
The Department consists of 18 teachers with Ms. Marti Elliott as both chair and contact person. Her email address is elliottm@fultonschools.org.
